After Kelsi Bowman's January lamb won the 2011 NAILE Jr. Show her family gave us the opportunity to become partners on the ram and show him in the open show.  For an "encore" he won the open show!  His first lambs at MB Genetics will be this fall.

Missouri State Fair 2011 Open Show

Kyla Wolkow of DeSmet, South Dakota, had the Grand Champion Southdown Ewe at Missouri State Fair with MB Genetics X680, a maternal half-sib to IMAGE. She purchased X680 as a lamb at the 2010 Ohio Southdown Sale and finished 3rd in the 2010 ASBA Futurity Ewe Lamb contest. Thank you Kyla on doing a great job with your ewe!

WI Sheep & Wool Festival Reserve Supreme Ewe

MB Genetics 8F-6KE was Champion Southdown Ewe and Reserve Supreme Meat Breed Ewe on Sept. 11 at the Wisconsin Sheep & Wool Festival open show. This yearling was sired by MB Genetics 4F-C. Her dam was Grand Champion of the 2006 National Jr. Show and is the twin sister of "Intuition", 2006 All-American and National Jr. Show Grand Champion Ram.

Our February ewe lamb was Reserve Champion and is sired by "Image" and out of a daughter of "The Edge". Judge was Judy Moore of Michigan.
