Purchase an ASBA Futurity nominated ewe lamb consigned by MB Genetics at the 2014 Wisconsin, Ohio, or Great Lakes Southdown Sales, place in the TOP TEN of either the ASBA Ewe Lamb or Fall Ewe Lamb Futurity concluded in November at the NAILE Junior Show, and receive $100 or breeding privilege to any solely owned MB Genetics ram.  Place first in the ewe lamb or fall ewe lamb division and win $250. A high-resolution digital photo of the junior with the ewe must be submitted to receive the bonus.

Thickburger - another dimension in the MB breeding program!

MB Genetics 12-97580 RR/NN/EDF has been christened "Thickburger" after seeing his first lambs born this winter.

His pedigree goes back to super ewe "Edwina" three times and the maternal ewe 6 generations back is the original Howard 680 ewe that produced the sire of MB Klondike and The Edge and the ewe that heads the "80" family in our flock.  Sires in Thickburger's pedigree include: Granite, New Generation, Keystone, Predestined twice, The Edge twice, Ambush, and Jennings 05-900.

Thickburger lambs have been consigned to the National Southdown Sale in Ohio and are available private treaty here at the farm.

Jenna Langer's Jan. ewe lamb, Jenna 13-J3-1, sired by MB Genetics 11F-8C, was Reserve Champion Southdown Ewe and Reserve Supreme Bred & Owned Ewe over all breeds.

Troy Longenecker had Reserve Champion Southdown Ewe at the Northeast Youth Show in Massachusetts with MB Genetics 12F-952E, sired by MB Genetics 1-680 Impression.

Grand Champion Ewe at the Missouri State Fair was Circle J 2-MO.  She was sired by MB Genetics 8-680 Image and is out of Circle J 6-49A Mona Lisa (MB Genetics 4F-C x The Edge)
